According to Central News Agency reporter Chao Li-Yen, on the afternoon of April 14, multiple migrant workers suspected of being intoxicated engaged in a physical confrontation at Taichung Railway Station. The Taichung City Third Police Precinct reviewed surveillance footage and, by early morning the next day, had apprehended eight men and three women. Among them, six were identified as absconded workers and one was found to be overstaying their visa. All 11 individuals were processed and referred to the Taichung District Prosecutors Office.

The Taichung City Third Police Precinct issued a statement indicating that at approximately 4:00 p.m. on April 14, they received reports of a disturbance involving migrant workers at the first-floor bus terminal of Taichung Railway Station. Officers arrived promptly, but the crowd had already dispersed. The incident was confirmed to involve Indonesian migrant workers who had gotten into a verbal dispute while intoxicated, which escalated into physical violence.

Following the incident, police immediately formed a special task force and began analyzing surveillance footage. In addition to four suspects detained at the scene, seven others were apprehended from Longjing and Shalu districts. Of the 11 individuals arrested, six were absconded workers and one was overstaying their legal residence. The case has been referred to the Taichung District Prosecutors Office for prosecution on charges of public brawling.
