(Central News Agency reporter Cheng Wei-chen, Changhua, June 15) — An auto repair workshop in Beidou Township, Changhua County, caught fire this evening, with a risk of spreading to nearby areas. The fire department dispatched 21 fire trucks to the scene for suppression. Fortunately, no one was trapped or injured. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.

According to the Changhua County Fire Bureau, the alarm was received at 4:59 p.m. The fire occurred at a metal-roofed auto repair workshop on Section 2, Douruan Road, Beidou Township. Flames and smoke were clearly visible from the first floor, but no one was trapped.

Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the site, finding the metal structure to cover approximately 200 square meters, with a risk of fire spreading to surrounding areas. Support units were called in to assist with rescue operations.

The fire bureau stated that motor oil for vehicles was stored behind the building, but the quantity did not reach regulated levels, and the building itself was not a designated regulated facility.

After intensive firefighting efforts, the blaze has now been brought under control. A total of 21 fire trucks, one ambulance, and 40 firefighters were deployed. The precise cause of the fire will be further investigated. (Edited by Chen Jen-hua) 1150615
