Taipei Fire Rescue Capacity Enhanced: Councilor Chen Bingfu and Friend Donate Fire Safety Vehicle

(Central News Agency reporter Huang Liyun, Taipei, June 15) To transform local concern into tangible equipment support, Taipei City Councilor Chen Bingfu and his friend Qiu Huiping today jointly donated a fire safety vehicle for use by the Jiancheng Substation of the Taipei Fire Department's 4th Disaster Relief and Rescue Battalion. Fire Commissioner Mo Huai-zu accepted the donation on behalf of the department.

The Fire Department held a donation ceremony this morning at the Jiancheng Substation. Kuomintang City Councilor Chen Bingfu, together with his friend Qiu Huiping, donated one fire safety vehicle for disaster relief and rescue operations, benefiting the general public. Commissioner Mo Huai-zu accepted the donation on behalf of the department.

In a press release, the Fire Department stated that Chen Bingfu and Qiu Huiping are热心 to public welfare and empathize with frontline firefighters facing the dangers and hardships of complex disasters. Their donation transforms local care into substantial equipment support. This fire safety vehicle will be used during regular operations for fire safety inspections, disaster prevention outreach, and related duties.

Additionally, during major disasters, the vehicle can transport firefighters and essential equipment to disaster sites swiftly, serving as a critical transportation tool for disaster prevention and rescue operations. It is expected to significantly enhance firefighters' operational efficiency and provide citizens with greater safety.

The Fire Department noted that Chen Bingfu also serves as Chairman of the Chen Chong-guang Cultural and Educational Foundation, which has donated three ambulances and one rehabilitation bus since 2014 (Republic Year 103).

Commissioner Mo Huai-zu expressed heartfelt gratitude for Chen Bingfu and Qiu Huiping's dedicated support and quiet acts of kindness toward fire services.
