U.S.-Iran War Key News

Central Report

(Central News Agency, Washington, 13th – comprehensive international media report) Leaders of the United States and Pakistan today announced that the U.S. and Iran are expected to sign a long-anticipated framework agreement on the 14th to end their conflict. However, Tehran has expressed skepticism about the signing schedule, and citizens in the capital have taken to the streets to protest the agreement.

According to Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media today that the agreement with Iran is scheduled to be signed on the 14th—his 80th birthday. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also stated that both sides have reached consensus on the peace agreement framework, and Islamabad is preparing for electronic signing on the 14th, followed by technical-level talks within the subsequent week.

However, Iran has not confirmed the signing on the 14th. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei cautioned against premature conclusions about the signing date before Trump's post. In an interview with state media, he said, "It will not be tomorrow," but could happen "in the coming days."

Trump posted on his social platform "Truth Social" that once the agreement is signed, the Strait of Hormuz—the critical global oil supply route blocked by Iran—will immediately be "fully opened."

Reports indicate that although U.S. airstrikes have severely damaged Iran's military-industrial infrastructure and weakened its military capabilities, experts believe the war has反而 strengthened the position of the hardline Revolutionary Guard.

Videos on social media and Iranian news websites show crowds opposing the agreement gathering in multiple squares and outside foreign ministry buildings in Tehran, targeting Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. They repeatedly chanted slogans such as "Araqchi should be ashamed, abandon America!"

Despite apparent progress toward an agreement over the past two days, hostilities between the U.S. and Iran have not ceased. U.S. forces continue to blockade Iran and attempt to break its control over the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. military announced today that it shot down multiple Iranian one-way attack drones heading toward the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, Israel emphasized it is not involved in the U.S.-Iran agreement and conducted airstrikes on over 70 Hezbollah-related targets in Lebanon within the past 24 hours.
