JJ Lin Joins Jolin Tsai's Bird's Nest Concert with Pilgrimage Spirit, Hails Her as 'Pride of Chinese People'

Jolin Tsai kicked off her three-night 'PLEASURE' concert series at Beijing's iconic Bird's Nest on the 12th, drawing massive crowds. On the second night, she welcomed fellow pop icon JJ Lin as a surprise guest, where they performed 'The Third Person' and 'The Art of Love' together. Lin expressed deep admiration, calling Tsai a 'pride of Chinese people' and stating he attended with a 'pilgrimage-like' reverence.

Tsai affectionately addressed the audience as 'babies' and reflected on her previous Beijing concert a decade ago, humorously noting, 'Has it been too long? The kids have grown up, and so has Mama.' Each night featured unique setlists, with the second night highlighting 'Dr. Jolin,' elevating the energetic atmosphere.

During Lin's guest appearance, the duo delivered powerful renditions of 'The Third Person' and 'The Art of Love.' Tsai spontaneously hummed 'Remember' and 'Little Dimple,' delighting fans. The two longtime friends exchanged heartfelt compliments—Tsai dubbed Lin the 'founder of the walking CD,' joking that people tease he attends award shows to 'fix the sound system.' Lin responded by praising Tsai's concerts as 'feasts of music and visuals,' adding, 'Every time I watch your performance, I come with a pilgrim’s heart.'

Additionally, on the 12th, Tsai invited trainees from 'Rainbow Angel Café,' a social enterprise supporting deaf employment, to attend the concert. Having visited the café three years prior to learn pastry-making, Tsai was moved by the trainees' growth. She emphasized that while change may be slow, it is honest, and thanked them for shining brightly: 'No matter how tough life gets, keep striving for yourself.'
