(Central News Agency reporter Yang Yao-ju, Taipei, April 14) The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Mongolian President Khurelsukh affirmed the 'One-China Principle.' Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs today condemned China for repeatedly spreading false and misleading claims of the 'One-China Principle' during interactions with other countries, attempting to distort international perceptions. It strongly urged the international community to seriously address China's coercive and inducive practices that undermine the sovereign decisions of other nations.

According to a statement from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the 13th and expressed Mongolia's firm adherence to the 'One-China Principle,' recognizing Taiwan as an inseparable part of China's territory.

In an evening statement, Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the content of this statement seriously harms the sovereignty of the Republic of China (Taiwan). It strongly protested and condemned China's repeated dissemination of false and erroneous claims regarding the 'One-China Principle' through bilateral engagements, which distort facts and attempt to confuse international understanding. The Ministry emphasized that the Republic of China (Taiwan) is a sovereign and independent state, with no subordination to the People's Republic of China—this is an undeniable objective fact and the current status quo across the Taiwan Strait. Any false narratives aimed at undermining Taiwan's sovereign status through statements or joint declarations cannot alter this indisputable reality.

The Ministry once again strongly urged the international community to seriously recognize China's long-standing use of coercion and inducement to undermine the sovereign decisions of other nations. This is not merely suppression against Taiwan, but also a significant challenge to global democratic systems and the international rule-based order.

The Ministry reaffirmed that it will continue to deepen cooperation with all like-minded countries, steadfastly uphold the democratic front, and maintain Taiwan's established position regardless of any form of economic coercion or diplomatic bullying. The Republic of China (Taiwan) will actively engage with the world and fully demonstrate national resilience. (Editor: Lin Ko-lun) 1150614
