To precisely bridge the significant gap in green talent across industries, the National Environment Research Institute (NERI) of Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration has partnered with 104 Job Bank to establish the 'Environmental Protection Administration NET ZERO Green Talent Corporate Recognition Zone,' which officially launched today.

NERI Director-General Chang Shun-chin encouraged graduates to visit the zone, leveraging nationally recognized certification to secure ideal positions and gain a head start in green careers.

Chang stated that participating companies have expressed their intention to prioritize or grant bonus points to job seekers who hold NERI certification when recruiting for positions such as Sustainability Engineers, Energy Planners, and ESG Project Managers, offering substantial career support.

According to statistics from the Environmental Protection Administration, 30% of the companies joining the recognition zone are listed or OTC companies, spanning diverse industrial sectors and all holding leading positions within their fields. The list includes Deloitte Taiwan, which serves many Fortune 500 clients; Taiwan Semiconductor Co., Ltd., with annual revenue exceeding NT$18 billion; China Chemical Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Taiwan's first GMP-certified pharmaceutical plant; YOYI Electronics, one of Taiwan's top three printed circuit board manufacturers; Yunbao Energy, a renewable energy power plant developer; and Hanchi Cuisine, a renowned dining brand.

NERI urges companies across all sectors—including electronics and technology, traditional manufacturing, financial services, and consumer retail—to participate in the program and register on the zone. Participating companies not only gain priority access to professionally trained, job-ready talent certified by the government, alleviating internal 'carbon anxiety' and talent shortages, but also use this national-level platform to demonstrate their concrete commitment to sustainable transformation to investors, customers, and the public.

The Environmental Protection Administration stated that the curriculum for the 'NET ZERO Green Talent Training Program' has been updated this year to ensure trainees can perfectly integrate theory with practical corporate decarbonization efforts. Those interested in joining the program can visit the 'Green Talent Information Platform' for the latest class schedules and registration details.
