The 15th edition of the 'Beigang Mazu Cup National Marathon' will kick off on November 21, with this year's event undergoing comprehensive upgrades in course design, event space, and transportation convenience, calling on runners, worshippers, and families across Taiwan to join hands and run for love.

This year's race course has been completely redesigned, with organizers unveiling a new 'toward the coastal wetlands' route. Starting from the pilgrimage origin of Beigang, the course crosses through Shuilin and extends all the way to Kouhu Township on the west coast, offering a diverse track that blends local culture and ecological beauty, allowing runners to experience Yunlin's coastal wetland scenery up close.

The event integrates a deity palanquin leading the way, local specialty food at aid stations, and enthusiastic cheer points spontaneously organized by worshippers along the route. With heartfelt local hospitality, it delivers a pilgrimage journey that fuses faith and warmth, creating unique and touching memories for participants.

The 2026 Beigang Mazu Cup National Marathon will take place on November 21 and is now open for registration. This year's venue has been newly optimized to accommodate more attendees and significantly reduces the distance to Beigang Chaotian Temple. Race categories include the 42-kilometer full marathon, 21-kilometer half marathon, 10-kilometer challenge run, and 5-kilometer casual run (including a sustainability division).

For the first time, the organizing committee has partnered with 'Taipei Bus Station' to launch a transportation access solution, adding dedicated pick-up points across Taiwan with increased frequency and expanded routes. Runners can simply reserve online and take a shuttle bus directly to the race venue.
