(Central News Agency reporter Liao Wen-chi, Shanghai, 13th) Mainland China held a 'signing and coordination event' today in Xiamen alongside the Cross-Strait Forum, announcing procurement agreements for Taiwanese agricultural and seafood products including pineapple guava, pomelo, tea, and grouper.

According to reports from CCTV News and Xinhua News Agency, the 'Coordination and Signing Ceremony for Ten Measures to Promote Cross-Strait Exchange and Cooperation' took place today in Xiamen. Song Tao, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and Chang Jung-kung, Vice Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT), attended and delivered speeches. Rao Qing-ling, Magistrate of Taitung County, delivered a pre-recorded video message. Representatives from relevant enterprises, chambers of commerce, and associations from both sides participated in the signing.

The reports indicate that mainland China will purchase agricultural products such as pineapple guava, pomelo, tea, and grouper produced in Taitung, Yunlin, and Nantou counties in Taiwan. According to a press release from the KMT, Chang Jung-kung stated that this signing ceremony marks the beginning of a new phase for Taiwanese agricultural products entering the mainland market, and that 'there will be follow-up actions in the future.'

In his speech, Song Tao claimed that the implementation of the 'Ten Taiwan-Related Measures' has achieved 'positive progress and phased results.' These include 'leveraging the guiding role of the KMT and the Chinese Communist Party to establish an institutionalized platform for two-way youth exchanges and hosting related exchange activities,' as well as the resumption of direct flights by China Eastern Airlines, Spring Airlines, and Shandong Airlines on routes from Chengdu to Taichung, Ningbo to Kaohsiung, and Qingdao to Taichung, respectively.

Chang Jung-kung stated in his speech that agricultural specialty products from various counties and cities in Taiwan are the fruits of hard labor by local people and represent Taiwan's regional culture. He emphasized that cross-strait agricultural and seafood exchanges are an important channel for promoting mutual understanding and a tangible way to improve the livelihood of ordinary Taiwanese people—priorities long emphasized by the KMT.

Chang added that cross-strait exchanges should inherently be a process of mutual appreciation, self-improvement, and mutual benefit. He noted that mainland policies can actively guide and support greater access for mainland consumers to experience Taiwan's flavors and warmth, even without visiting the island, which would contribute to harmonious cross-strait relations.

Following the 'Cheng-Xi Meeting' between KMT Chairperson Cheng Li-chun and CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping in early April, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CCP Central Committee announced the 'Ten Taiwan-Related Measures' on April 12. These include resuming pilot individual travel for residents of Shanghai and Fujian Province to Taiwan; promoting the full normalization of cross-strait passenger air services; facilitating the import of Taiwanese agricultural and seafood products into the mainland; and allowing the introduction of 'ideologically sound, healthy in content, and high-quality' Taiwanese TV dramas, documentaries, and animations on mainland cable channels and online streaming platforms.
