As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, a social welfare group in Taichung, in collaboration with benevolent enterprises, distributed爱心meal boxes and zongzi to underprivileged individuals today. Legislative Yuan Vice President John Chiang attended the event, expressing his belief that such acts of public welfare can inspire others to contribute, helping those in need and spreading warmth throughout society.

The event was jointly organized by the Taichung Pusen Charity Merit Association, Zhengzhi Village Organic Food Chain Store, and Ruiyou Technology Company. Over 500 meal boxes and zongzi were distributed at Pusen Temple in Taichung's East District. Chiang, along with Kuomintang legislator Lo Ting-wei and local representatives, attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Chiang emphasized that the爱心meals not only nourish the body but also convey heartfelt care to disadvantaged families. He has long advocated for corporate social responsibility, stating that through the combined efforts of charitable organizations and compassionate businesses, a ripple effect can be created, encouraging broader societal participation in supporting those in need.

Pusen Temple's abbot, Wu Min-cheng, shared that having come from a difficult background, he made it his mission to help others once he had the means. The temple has been distributing爱心meal boxes for nine consecutive years, growing from 500 boxes per month to daily distributions, now exceeding 11,000 boxes monthly. He expressed gratitude to the benevolent enterprises joining the cause.

Li Szu-fan, founder of Zhengzhi Village, said he was deeply moved by Pusen Temple's long-term charitable work and decided to join. As a company rooted in Taichung, he hopes to give back to society and help more people feel warmth. (Edited by Li Heng-shan) 1150613
