Central News Agency report.

(Taipei, June 13, Central News Agency reporter Chen Jung-sen) Liang En-shuo, known as Taiwan's 'pocket rocket,' won the women's doubles title at the WTA Libéma Open today alongside her Japanese partner Shuko Aoyama. This marks Liang's first career WTA Tour title, which she described as a significant milestone.

Held in the Netherlands, the Libéma Open is a WTA 250-level tournament. The Taiwanese player teamed up with 38-year-old Japanese veteran Shuko Aoyama, advancing steadily through the draw. In the final, they overcame the Estonian-Ingrid Neel and Mexican-Giuliana Olmos pairing in a match tiebreak, winning 6–2, 2–6, 10–7 to claim the women's doubles crown.

In the opening set, Liang and Aoyama launched an aggressive attack, nearly breaking their opponents' serve from the start and forcing them into a defensive position. After securing their own service game in the fourth game, the 'Taiwan-Japan duo' broke their opponents twice in a row, taking the set 6–2. However, they failed to maintain momentum and encountered difficulties in the second set, losing it 2–6.

In the deciding third set match tiebreak, Liang and Aoyama started strong with three consecutive points, building early momentum. Although their opponents managed to level the score, the duo remained composed under pressure, steadily extending their lead. Ultimately, they broke their opponents' serve once more to clinch the match 10–7.

Liang and Aoyama have been a regular pairing since May. Last week, they made a surprise run to the semifinals of the French Open women's doubles, and now they have captured their first title together. After the match, Liang told the Central News Agency that Aoyama initially approached her about teaming up. Recognizing that Aoyama could apply strong net pressure while she could create opportunities from the baseline, Liang felt their styles were complementary and decided to partner.

The collaboration has worked out as expected. Liang joked that she was somewhat surprised to reach the semifinals in her first French Open doubles appearance but was happy to carry her good form into this tournament. Next, Liang will travel to Malaysia to compete in the Kinoshita Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group II event. She expressed excitement about wearing the national team jersey again and pledged to do her best to help Taiwan achieve strong results. (Edited by Tsai Chia-min) 1150614
