(Taiwan News Reporter Hsieh Ching-wen, New Taipei, June 13) Taiwanese hitter Lin An-ke of the Saitama Seibu Lions' farm team has been in solid form recently. Today, he hit a solo home run, marking his second homer in the last four games. The Lions recorded 12 hits in a cohesive offensive effort, defeating the Chunichi Dragons 7-3.

Lin started today's game as the sixth batter and left fielder. In the second inning, he grounded out to first base.

In the bottom of the third, the Lions mounted an offensive rally. Shoya Makino and Atsuyuki Chanohara both recorded hits, and Osaki Shuta drew a walk. Nakamura Tsuyoshi then hit a grand slam. With two outs, Lin followed with a solo home run, adding an insurance run for the team.

Lin struck out in the bottom of the fifth and exited the game during the sixth-inning defensive change. He finished 1-for-3 with one home run and one RBI. In his last four farm league games, all four of his hits have been extra-base hits—two home runs and two doubles—raising his batting average to .233.

The Lions added one run each in the fourth and seventh innings. The Dragons scored three runs in the top of the fifth but failed to score again afterward, resulting in their defeat. (Edited by Li Heng-shan) 1150613
