(CNA Tehran 12th, Comprehensive Foreign News) Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency disclosed a draft agreement between Tehran and Washington today. If the content is accepted by all parties, $24 billion of frozen Iranian assets will be unfrozen within 60 days.

According to AFP, Mehr News Agency quoted sources close to the Iranian negotiating team as saying that the draft agreement between Iran and the United States stipulates a 60-day negotiation period for the two sides to reach an agreement on issues such as Iran's nuclear program.

According to the report, the draft outlines "60 days of negotiations to reach an agreement on the nuclear issue and the complete lifting of US primary and secondary sanctions."

The report noted that the agreement would allow "the unfreezing of $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds during the final 60-day consultation period," with half of the funds to be "disbursed to Iran before the start of negotiations."

The official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) also reported today that under the draft agreement with the US, Tehran will not give up its control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The report quoted the "current text," which is undergoing final confirmation, saying: "Iran has not committed in this text to abandon its management of the strait, nor has it committed to returning to the state prior to US and Israeli military aggression."

IRNA also pointed out that if a final agreement is reached with the US after 60 days of negotiations, the Islamic Republic will retain the right to enrich uranium.

According to the report: "Iran will only negotiate its nuclear program within the framework of the basic principles of the Islamic Republic. Issues such as Iran's right to enrich uranium and the retention of enriched materials... will be discussed as a priority so that they can be included in the final agreement."
