According to statistics from the Council of Agriculture, heavy rains beginning on June 8 have caused agricultural damage, with total losses reaching approximately NT$5.74 million by 5:00 PM on June 11. The most severely affected crop was first crop rice.

In a press release, the Department of Agricultural Affairs compiled data reported by municipalities and county governments. From June 8 to 5:00 PM on June 11, estimated losses to agricultural products and private facilities amounted to NT$5.74 million.

Regarding crop damage, the affected area spans 166 hectares with a damage rate of 20%, equivalent to 33 hectares with no harvestable yield. The primary damaged crop was first crop rice, with 75 hectares affected, a damage level of 29%, 21 hectares yielding no harvest, and financial losses totaling NT$2.36 million. Other affected crops include watermelon, papaya, guava, and bitter gourd.

By region, Pingtung County suffered the highest losses at NT$2.93 million (51% of total), followed by Yunlin County at NT$1.23 million and Tainan City at NT$1.1 million.

Additionally, estimated losses to private facilities reached NT$70,000, primarily due to damage to horizontal trellis net houses.
