Cai Siyun Wore Underwear and Transparent Raincoat While Handling Corpse – Not Sexy, But Terrifying

(Taipei, April 11 – Reporter Wang Hsin-yu) The short film 'The Wife You Don't Know' has been selected for the 'Fantastic Shorts' section at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea. Actress Cai Siyun revealed that in one scene, she wore only her underwear beneath a transparent raincoat while handling a corpse — an experience she described as far from sexy, and instead deeply terrifying.

According to production materials, 'The Wife You Don't Know' is directed by emerging filmmaker Chen De-long and adapted from a novel by Hong Kong writer Ha Chi-yin. Chen stated that having the film premiere at Bucheon marks a significant step in showcasing Hong Kong's creative talent to international audiences.

Tsai Wen-hsi mentioned this is his second collaboration with Cai Siyun after 'Payback,' and the most unforgettable scene for him involved drinking a concoction labeled 'raw meat juice,' made by the crew using dark-colored fruits. After consuming it, he had to act out a state of mental breakdown, which left him nearly exhausted upon completion.

Cai Siyun's character undergoes a transformation from a long-term victim of domestic violence to someone with complex emotional layers. She shared that during the corpse-handling scene, wearing underwear under a transparent raincoat was physically revealing, but she laughed and said, 'I didn't feel sexy at all — only terrified.
