Reuters reported that US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated the US Army AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed at around 3:00 AM local time today while conducting a maritime patrol mission off the coast of Oman.

CNN reported that US Central Command spokesman Timothy Hawkins stated that a US Navy surface unmanned boat "located and rescued the crew members in the water."

US Central Command told Reuters that the rescue was carried out by an unmanned boat but did not specify the model of the vessel.
