(Central News Agency, reporter Zhang Xiongfeng, Taipei, 9th) To prevent grassroots voices from being silenced, the 'Taiwan Food Delivery Rights Promotion Alliance,' a coalition of industry and academia, was officially announced today. It aims to provide intuitive, forward-looking information and substantive advocacy for the rights and interests of all parties in Taiwan's food delivery market ecosystem.

Co-initiated by the Taichung City Food Delivery Platform Service Industry Union, the Center for Sustainable Development and Corporate Governance at National University of Kaohsiung's College of Law, and experts from the MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute) of the III (Institute for Information Industry), the Alliance announced its formal establishment today. It will deeply focus on the potential 'monopoly risks' and 'national security risks' that may arise from cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

The Alliance stated that it will immediately launch three core actions upon establishment. First, monopoly risk early warning: it will continuously monitor the progress of fair competition reviews for cross-border M&A cases, conducting substantive legal and economic analysis on market concentration and potential anti-competitive behavior.

Second, from the perspective of corporate governance and digital sovereignty, it will analyze the necessity of localizing food delivery data to prevent the risk of national foundational data outflow. Third, it will regularly publish white papers and observation reports on food delivery market rights, combining union practical data with professional research from the III and National University of Kaohsiung to provide the most valuable information for government policymakers and the public.

The Alliance stated that this is not only a battle concerning the labor rights of delivery drivers but also a crucial defensive battle for the fairness of Taiwan's digital economy and national security order. The Alliance will actively lobby legislative and regulatory authorities in the future to promote the enactment of sound special laws, ensuring that while technological innovation and capital expansion proceed, Taiwanese society can maintain a healthy, transparent, and fair food delivery market environment.
