(CNA, Kyiv, 9th, Comprehensive Foreign Report) The governor of Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, Oleg Synegubov, stated earlier today that a Russian airstrike in the area resulted in 3 deaths and 10 injuries.

According to AFP, Synegubov posted on the messaging app Telegram, stating, "The enemy attacked the city of Chuguiv," and confirmed that the airstrike had caused three fatalities.

He stated: "The airstrike caused a fire, damaged at least 18 vehicles, and shattered the windows of a multi-story residential building, also damaging its exterior walls."

Additionally, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov noted that 10 people were injured in the city.

In recent months, Russia's daily attacks causing casualties among Ukrainian civilians have intensified. In response, Ukraine has been using drones to strike deeper into Russian territory, emphasizing that these attacks primarily target military and energy facilities.

According to estimates released by the United Nations (UN) in April, since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, at least 15,850 civilians have been killed in Ukrainian-controlled territory, over 2,800 civilians have died in Russian-occupied areas, and the total number of injured across both areas exceeds 44,800.
