A man accelerated to flee when he saw police attempting to stop his vehicle. During the pursuit, police fired 8 warning shots. The man was eventually stopped and arrested after driving into an alley. He is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, and the case is under investigation.

According to the Banqiao Police Precinct, officers were patrolling on Xinyi Road at 4:50 PM when they spotted a suspicious car. As officers approached to check, the driver suddenly accelerated and fled.

Police immediately alerted other units to set up a pursuit and interception. During the chase, officers fired a total of 8 warning shots at locations including County Boulevard and Nanya South Road in Banqiao District. Despite this, the man continued to flee. He was finally stopped and arrested after entering Lane 75, Section 1, Daguan Road.
