(CNA, Taipei, June 9, by reporter Wang Hsin-yu) Artist Vic Chou (Tsai Tsai) chose his 45th birthday today to release a new song, "Tell Me Why." The music video was filmed at a classic location from the movie "007: No Time to Die." He expressed that each verse reveals a different state of mind and hopes fans can discover the essence of love from it.
Chou's recently released "Who Gave Me the Courage" topped the KKBOX real-time chart, remained champion on MTV's TOP 10 Gold chart, and surpassed 10 million views on YouTube within 5 days. He chose his birthday to release "Tell Me Why." The song was recommended to Chou by singer Vanness Wu. After a friend composed the song, Wu found it highly suitable for Chou and strongly recommended it, actively exchanging ideas during the recording process.
"Tell Me Why" nearly eliminates the intro, interlude, and outro, filling the entire song with vocals instead. This requires mastering extremely high vocal density and breathing points, posing a rigorous challenge for Chou. Chou shared, "My state of mind was different before, during, and after singing this song. From a little bit of loneliness, I found what the essence of love is." The music video was filmed in the ancient Italian city of Matera, the "City of Stone," which is also a classic location from "007: No Time to Die," hoping the beautiful scenery will help fans feel the song's atmosphere more deeply.
