At approximately 7 PM on the 9th, a large boulder suddenly fell onto the road at the 28.1K mark of Provincial Highway 8, Section 1, Dongguan Road, Heping District, Taichung City, severely impacting vehicle traffic safety. Police assisted in guiding vehicles and notified the maintenance unit. The obstruction was cleared by around 9 PM.
The Heping Branch of the Taichung City Police Department stated that the Guguan Police Station received the report and immediately dispatched officers to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found the fallen rock occupying the lane, posing a risk of vehicle collision or accidents from evasive maneuvers. They immediately set up traffic warnings and implemented diversion measures, reminding drivers to slow down and carefully guiding vehicles through the area to ensure road user safety.
