A male Indonesian worker in his 30s, surnamed Da, was working alone on a conveyor belt when he sustained a head injury from an unknown cause and fell into a water pit. When police and firefighters arrived at the scene after receiving a report, he was found to be clearly deceased, and a labor inspection investigation was notified.

Taipei City police and firefighters received a report at approximately 11:54 AM about a workplace accident at a gravel yard on Section 1, Dadu Road, Beitou District. The local Chang'an Police Station immediately dispatched officers to investigate. They discovered that the foreign worker, Mr. Da, who had only been employed for a few days, had fallen into a water pit for unknown reasons. Rescue personnel immediately attempted to retrieve him, but he had no pulse or respiration and was clearly deceased.

As there were no surveillance cameras at the scene, preliminary investigations indicate that Mr. Da was working alone on the conveyor belt at the time of the incident. He struck the conveyor belt for an unknown reason, causing severe head injuries, and subsequently fell into the water pit.

The case has been reported to the Taipei City Department of Labor for inspection in accordance with regulations. A criminal investigation by a prosecutor will also be requested to clarify the circumstances and proceed according to law.
