(Central News Agency, Hong Kong, 9th, Comprehensive Foreign News) Investors once again flocked to artificial intelligence (AI) concept stocks, while easing tensions in the Middle East boosted market sentiment and pushed oil prices lower, leading to a broad rebound in Asian stock markets on Tuesday from the previous trading day's sell-off.

According to AFP, the number of new jobs added in the United States in May more than doubled market expectations, indicating the economy remains resilient, but also raised the possibility that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will further tighten monetary policy under persistent inflationary pressure.

Prior to this, US semiconductor giant Broadcom issued disappointing revenue forecasts, raising concerns about the outlook for the AI industry. The AI boom has been driving stock markets to record highs this year.

Affected by these negative factors, US technology stocks plunged last Friday, and Asian markets experienced a similar crash on Monday, with Seoul's KOSPI index plummeting over 8%.

However, news of easing tensions in the Middle East boosted investor confidence. Iran and Israel said on Monday that both sides had suspended hostilities. The two countries had previously launched attacks against each other, raising fears of a renewed war in the Middle East.

Additionally, US President Trump stated today that negotiators have entered the "final stage" of peace agreement talks, further boosting market optimism.

Driven by the rally in US stocks yesterday, Asian markets performed strongly on Tuesday, closing mostly higher. US stocks rebounded on Monday, with the Nasdaq Composite Index and the S&P 500 both closing higher. Oil prices surged more than 5% in early trading yesterday before paring gains, and have turned lower today.

Seoul's stock market led the gains on Tuesday, surging over 8%. The Taipei stock market rose 2.8%, and the Tokyo stock market also gained over 2%. Markets in Singapore, Shanghai, Manila, Bangkok, and Wellington also rose, but Hong Kong's market fell, and Sydney's market edged lower. (Editor: Chen Zhengjian) 1150609
