(Central News Agency, reporter Zhao Liyan, Taichung, 8th) Xiangyuan Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. and Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), located in Shalu District, Taichung City, have jointly created the 'Aircraft Story Museum'. Through old photographs, cultural relics, and models, from the 'Chieh Shou' trainer to the 'Yung Ying' advanced jet trainer, it offers a glimpse into the history of Taiwan's aviation industry.

The 'Aircraft Story Museum' is located within the Xiangyuan Cultural Tourism Club. It will display old photos, full-scale missile models, and the flight suit of the Yung Ying test pilot, allowing the public to learn about Taiwan's aviation industry, test flight culture, and the development of the 'National Aircraft Manufacturing' (guoji guozao) policy, and to understand the importance of national defense autonomy.

Wu Jingwen, General Manager of Xiangyuan Cultural Tourism, stated that the planned exhibition areas include 'Breaking the Sky' (pioneering the airspace with courage by R&D personnel), 'Glory' (the flight paths of F-5 and AT-3 trainers), 'Soaring High' (the story of national defense autonomy told through the IDF fighter, Yung Ying trainer, and various missiles), and 'Riding the Wind' (showcasing diverse applications of Taiwan's aviation, such as UAVs, target drones, the 'Chase the Wind' project, and air emergency medical services).

Wu said that the 'Aircraft Story Museum' presents nine aircraft that AIDC has manufactured, developed, or assembled with foreign partners from 1968 to the present, from the earliest primary trainer 'Chieh Shou' to the Yung Ying advanced trainer, demonstrating the development of the national aircraft manufacturing program.

To mark its opening on June 10, the 'Aircraft Story Museum' is hosting the 'Black Cat Squadron General Hua Xijun - Phantom Soaring Special Exhibition' until July 30, which is open to the public for free. (Editor: Li Mingzong) 1150608
