(CNA, by reporter Chao Li-yen, Taichung, 8th) Thirty students from National Dajia Senior High School began a five-day, four-night educational and cultural exchange in South Korea starting from the 4th. They directly entered a South Korean high school classroom, experienced the local education system and curriculum, and shared lunch to understand each other's cultural characteristics, expanding their international horizons through cross-border cooperation.
Taichung's Dajia Senior High School organized the educational and cultural exchange trip to South Korea, led by Principal Kao Jung-li with 30 outstanding first and second-year students. In a press release today, Dajia High School stated that as a community-based comprehensive high school in the coastal area of Taichung, it has fewer international education resources compared to urban high schools and hopes to broaden its educational horizons through this cross-border, on-site observation.
On the 5th, the visiting group went to Seoul Overseas Chinese High School in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, for academic and cultural exchange. This overseas Chinese school was founded in Korea by Taiwanese people, and its students can communicate in Korean, English, and Mandarin. The school sent an invitation letter in the hope that interactive learning activities would broaden the multicultural perspectives of students from both schools.
Under the school's arrangement, the visiting students entered the South Korean high school's classroom, experienced the local education system and diverse curriculum, and shared a school lunch with local students. Through the practical interaction of learning and dining together, both sides gained a deeper appreciation of each other's educational environment and cultural lifestyle.
Principal Kao Jung-li pointed out that to cultivate diverse talents with a global perspective, he hopes that through on-site visits and transnational inter-school interactions, students can broaden their international knowledge, build cross-border friendships, and enhance their international education learning capabilities during the interaction, injecting new momentum into their future cross-border career planning and holistic development.
