The Israeli military posted on the social media platform Telegram that it had "detected missiles launched from Iran" and was intercepting the related threats.

An AFP correspondent in Jerusalem also witnessed at least one interception, as people rushed to air-raid shelters.
Israel's non-profit emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, stated that it has not received any reports of casualties so far.
