(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 8) To alleviate the recent difficulties university graduates face in finding employment and the persistently high unemployment rate, China's Ministry of Education announced today that it will launch a '100-Day Employment Sprint' campaign for this year's graduating university students from June to August. Local governments and universities will provide over 5 million job positions through campus recruitment activities, and the official employment service platform will aggregate and provide over 1.5 million job positions.
According to a report by CCTV News, the Ministry of Education's official website announced today that, in order to implement the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council regarding the employment of college and university graduates, and to seize the 'critical period for promoting employment' before and after graduation, it is deploying this '100-Day Employment Sprint' campaign to fully promote the smooth employment of graduates.
The Ministry of Education stated that the campaign, themed 'Renewed Efforts in the 100-Day Sprint, Precise Services to Promote Employment,' requires local governments and universities to focus on the current key points and difficulties of employment work during the campaign period and address them precisely from seven aspects.
These seven aspects are: accelerating the implementation of a series of employment promotion policies, intensifying efforts to expand market-based employment positions, accelerating the organization of recruitment for policy-based positions, providing precise employment assistance for disadvantaged groups, strictly managing employment data registration, continuing post-graduation follow-up services, and effectively safeguarding the employment rights and interests of graduates.
Regarding 'accelerating the organization of recruitment for policy-based positions,' it mentioned promoting and accelerating the recruitment and hiring for positions such as civil servants, public institutions, state-owned enterprises, and research assistants, ensuring completion by the end of August this year.
Regarding 'effectively safeguarding the employment rights and interests of graduates,' it mentioned strengthening 'employment safety warning' education, deeply carrying out special operations to clean up and rectify the order of the human resources market, and severely cracking down on illegal activities such as 'recruitment disguised as paid training,' 'paid internal referrals,' false recruitment, and abuse of probationary periods.
The Ministry of Education requires local governments and universities to further consolidate their responsibility chains, highlight work effectiveness, strengthen publicity and guidance, actively create a favorable employment atmosphere, and fully promote 'high-quality and full employment' for this year's graduating university students.
The Ministry of Education stated that during the sprint campaign, local governments and universities are expected to hold over 4,000 campus recruitment events, providing information on over 5 million job positions. The China National College Student Employment Service Platform will also continue to launch over 10 online special recruitment events, aggregating and providing information on over 1.5 million job positions.
