(Central News Agency, Seoul, 8th, Comprehensive Foreign News) Jun Young-hyun, co-CEO and head of the chip business at Samsung Electronics, said today that during a meeting with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in Seoul, they discussed cooperation on next-generation foundry chips.

According to Reuters, Jun Young-hyun stated that Samsung Electronics and Nvidia are currently collaborating on autonomous driving chips and Groq AI accelerator chips, and they also discussed cooperation on future-generation semiconductor products.

He also said that the two sides had extensive discussions on long-term cooperation, covering high-bandwidth memory chips HBM4E and HBM5.

In March this year, Jensen Huang showcased a new AI inference chip using technology from chip startup Groq, and stated that Samsung would be responsible for producing the Groq LP30 chip, which is expected to ship in the second half of this year. (Editor: Liu Shuqin) 1150608
