King Gnu Rocks Taipei Arena with "Jujutsu Kaisen" Hits

(CNA, Reporter Wang Hsin-yu, Taipei, 7th) Japanese band King Gnu held the second day of their CEN+RAL concert at the Taipei Arena tonight. Lead singer Satoru Iguchi not only shouted "Long time no see" in Chinese but also yelled "Thank you" in Taiwanese. A series of songs from the "Jujutsu Kaisen" franchise also pushed the atmosphere to its peak.

This concert featured a four-sided stage, with members Daiki Tsuneta, Satoru Iguchi, Seki Yu, and Kazuki Arai each occupying a corner. Large screens were suspended above the stage in an X shape. Laser lights frequently pulsed during high-energy songs, complemented by special effects like smoke and pyrotechnics, attracting a total of 26,000 fans over the two days.

King Gnu kicked off the concert with songs like AIZO, Doron, and Teenager Forever. Satoru Iguchi shouted in Chinese, "Long time no see! Are you having fun? Awesome!" After the audience responded with screams, Iguchi replied in Taiwanese, "Thank you!" He then yelled, "Taipei, let's sing together!" sparking another wave of cheers. During the song Slumberland, Daiki Tsuneta even walked off the stage with a megaphone to interact with the audience.

Towards the end of the concert, Kazuki Arai said, "The first time we came to Taiwan three years ago was to perform at the Golden Melody Awards ceremony right here at the Taipei Arena. We only sang two songs then, but to be back here for our own concert is truly amazing and makes me very happy. You all want to hear more songs, right? The Taipei Dome is nearby, isn't it! I hope we can perform on an even bigger stage."

Tonight, in addition to performing "Hakujitsu," the theme song for the Japanese drama "Innocence, Fight Against False Charges," King Gnu did not miss a single song from the popular anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," including SPECIALZ, AIZO, "Sakayume," and "Ichizu." Iguchi sang until his clothes were soaked. Before the final song, "Hikoutei," Iguchi shouted, "Next time, let's go to the Taipei Dome together."
