According to a press release from the Transportation Bureau today, the cumulative number of YouBike rides in Kaohsiung has reached 88.65 million, just one step away from the 88.88 millionth ride. The Transportation Bureau, in collaboration with YouBike operator Smile Bike, has launched a "Find the 88.88 Millionth Kaohsiung YouBike Rider" campaign, offering multiple prizes to the lucky winner.
The Transportation Bureau stated that the lucky winner of the 88.88 millionth ride will receive a Garmin smartwatch and a one-year TPASS monthly pass (399 plan). Additionally, the two riders before and after the winner will each receive a box of cookies from Children Are Us (a social enterprise) and a one-month TPASS monthly pass (399 plan).
The Transportation Bureau welcomes citizens to use YouBike as a daily commuting, school, and leisure transportation tool, and hopes they will become lucky winners. Smile Bike reminded that after the cumulative ride target is reached, the winner list will be announced on the "YouBike Smile Bike official website," and winners will be contacted by phone or text message.
