(Central News Agency reporter Zhang Yilian, Kaohsiung, 7th) A male Indonesian student surnamed Tseng (23), a student at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), died after his motorcycle collided with a car at an intersection in Kaohsiung's Nanzih District on the 7th. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Kaohsiung City Police Department's Traffic Police Brigade.

According to police from the Nanzih Precinct of the Kaohsiung City Police Department, a 38-year-old man surnamed Huang was driving a passenger car from the highway towards Nansing East Road around 7 a.m. when he collided with a motorcycle ridden by Tseng, who was exiting the underpass on Fengnan Road.

The police stated that the accident caused Tseng to fall and sustain fatal injuries. Whether Tseng was under the influence of alcohol will be determined by the coroner's examination and related test results. Huang tested negative for alcohol and will be referred to the Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office on charges of negligent homicide after questioning.

Preliminary police investigation shows that Tseng was an Indonesian foreign student currently enrolled at NKUST and held a valid driver's license.
