(CNA, Tainan, Reporter Yang Si-Rui, June 7) The Ministry of Finance's 2026 Uniform Invoice Cup road run event in Tainan was held today on roads near the Nanping Guanxi Platform, attracting over ten thousand runners who enjoyed the coastal scenery along the route. Over 210,000 invoices were collected at the event, all of which will be donated to social welfare groups.
Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che stated in his speech before firing the starting gun that Tainan boasts rich natural landscapes and cultural features. He said that with the Ministry of Finance's Uniform Invoice Cup road run being held in Tainan again, runners from all over the country can enjoy the fun of sports while also appreciating the coastal scenery of Anping and experiencing the unique charm of the ancient city. The event also helps disadvantaged groups through the donation of invoices, making every step of the run more meaningful.
Huang Wei-che pointed out that the city government continues to promote a healthy sporting atmosphere while encouraging the public to use cloud invoices and mobile payments. This not only enhances consumer convenience but also helps reduce the use of paper invoices, implementing energy conservation, carbon reduction, and smart living. By combining the road run with tax advocacy and public welfare, positive concepts can be more deeply integrated into the daily lives of the public.
According to information provided by the Tainan City Government, this event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Finance and Taiwan Cooperative Bank Financial Holding Co., Ltd. It was divided into a 10km challenge group and a 3km leisure group, starting from Yubin Road and passing by coastal landscapes such as the Anping Lighthouse and Sicao Bridge. The event site featured performances, promotional booths for cloud invoice and mobile payment experiences, and a lottery to attract public participation.
The National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, Ministry of Finance, stated that the event promoted the practice of actively requesting uniform invoices during consumption and encouraged the public to download the uniform invoice redemption app. This facilitates storing cloud invoices in carriers and using social welfare group donation codes to donate invoices. A total of 218,178 invoices were collected during this event, all of which will be donated to 20 social welfare groups. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 20260607
