(CNA, New Taipei, 7th) As the New Taipei City mayoral election campaign continues to heat up, Su Chiao-hui stated at a forum with indigenous communities that if an "indigenous daughter-in-law" becomes mayor, the budget and care will be doubled. Meanwhile, Lee Ssu-chuan, while canvassing for votes in Xizhi, emphasized that he will fully promote the Minsheng-Xizhi and Xidong metro lines to connect Xizhi's rail infrastructure.

The KMT's New Taipei mayoral candidate, Lee Ssu-chuan, and the DPP's candidate, Su Chiao-hui, both had full schedules today. When Su attended a forum with Su Chin-hsiung (Paylang Caya), the two entered singing an Amis folk song and stepping to a traditional dance, walking into the venue with the crowd. The entire hall of fellow indigenous people cheered, shouting "The Amis daughter-in-law, the mayor for a new era," creating a fervent atmosphere.

Su Chiao-hui distributed flyers at the event that read, "An indigenous daughter-in-law as New Taipei mayor means double the budget, double the care." She stated that New Taipei City's indigenous population exceeds 65,000, the second-highest among the six special municipalities, yet its per capita budget for indigenous affairs is the lowest. Even Taoyuan City, the second to last, has double New Taipei's budget.

She expressed, "I am the daughter-in-law of indigenous people. I am the mayoral candidate who can best serve everyone from the perspective of our people."

Su Chiao-hui stressed that the most practical action to care for her fellow people is to increase the budget. In the future, she will double the budget for indigenous affairs to ensure that care and support for the community can be more comprehensive, allowing indigenous culture to continue to take root in New Taipei.

Lee Ssu-chuan attended a forum with local residents and grassroots cadres in the Xizhi, Jinshan, and Wanli areas today, where a full house of supporters enthusiastically shouted "Get elected!" creating a lively atmosphere. In his speech, Lee stated that after being elected, he will continue to promote the connection of rail construction in the Xizhi area to improve the local transportation network.

Lee Ssu-chuan stated that after being elected, he will fully promote the Minsheng-Xizhi and Xidong lines, connecting them with the Circular Line's Eastern Section to form a complete rail network. This will link Neihu to the Xinyi Planning District and extend further to the Taipei Zoo. In the future, there are also plans to extend a light rail from the zoo to Shenkeng, which will make commuting more convenient for Xizhi residents, save a lot of time, and continue to drive local development.

Lee Ssu-chuan emphasized that elections should be about policies, not slander, and about ability, not age. He will continue to propose concrete welfare policies that are closer to the public's needs and solve their problems. He will do his utmost with his decades of experience to make the citizens' lives better. (Editor: Chen Jen-hua) 1150607
