(Central News Agency, Los Angeles, 6th, Combined Foreign Reports) American gymnastics icon Simone Biles revealed on Instagram today that she recently experienced a health crisis, though she did not specify the cause. She described it as 'one of the scariest experiences of my life.'
According to AFP, Biles posted a photo on her Instagram Stories showing multiple hospital identification bands on her wrist, writing, 'I don't usually share things like this because I value my privacy in this day and age, but this week I 'almost lost my life,' and it was completely unexpected.'
'This was one of the scariest experiences of my life, maybe even the scariest,' she wrote. She noted that the situation was made more frightening because her husband, Jonathan Owens, was away with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts for off-season training.
'I've been resting in bed all week. I'll explain what happened later. I want to thank my family and friends who reached out, checked on me, visited me, and sent me flowers,' she wrote.
Biles, 29, is a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, three of which came from the 2024 Paris Olympics. This comes after she returned to the Olympic stage following a prolonged mental health break and delivered another stellar performance. (Editor: Shi Shi) 1150607
