(Central News Agency, reporter Su Chih-yu, Taipei, 7th) The Chinese Professional Baseball League's Uni-President 7-ELEVEn Lions held a themed day in collaboration with Sanrio. The Lions' team stated that the total revenue from three days of ticket sales and merchandise sales was approximately NT$90 million, setting a new team record for themed days.
From June 5th to 7th, the Lions partnered with Sanrio stars Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, and Hangyodon to play with baseball fans at the Taipei Dome. The stadium was transformed into a treasure hunt paradise, with checkpoint games and photo zones planned on different floors, and the merchandise area outside was packed with long lines.
The attendance figures for the three days were 18,712, 21,358, and 16,875 respectively, totaling 56,945 people. The Lions' team announced that the three-day box office revenue was approximately NT$50 million, and merchandise revenue was approximately NT$40 million, making the total revenue a new record for the Lions' team history of marketing themed days.
Uni-President Lions team general manager Su Tai-an said, "We are very grateful for the collaboration with Sanrio for two consecutive years. Seeing the happy smiles on every child's face at the venue is a wonderful thing. The team hopes to combine baseball with healing and joyful elements, allowing friends of all ages to come into the stadium and experience the charm of professional baseball games."
