(Central News Agency, Keelung, 7th) Taiwan People's Party (TPP) Chairman Huang Kuo-chang, founding Chairman Ko Wen-je, and Keelung Deputy Mayor Chiu Pei-lin recently joined four Keelung city council candidates to record the campaign song 'There Is Always Hope' (總有希望). They hope to move forward steadily against the headwinds and bring change to Keelung.

Chiu Pei-lin, who also serves as the head of the TPP's Keelung City Party Committee, stated in a press release that 'There Is Always Hope' was created and provided free of charge by a supporter. The lyrics depict the mindset of many party members and supporters: 'As long as you work hard, the dawn will come.' The song sings of the spirit of never giving up in the face of challenges and difficulties. The TPP 'Keelung Team' will continue to move forward with this strength.

The press release stated that Huang Kuo-chang said the first time he heard 'There Is Always Hope,' he felt the melody was beautiful and matched the current state of mind of the TPP. He accompanied the candidates in practice and recording, describing his role as 'green leaves setting off the red flowers.' When asked who sang better between him and Ko Wen-je, Huang humorously replied that Ko Wen-je was, of course, the better singer.

Ko Wen-je said the song is very suitable for the TPP. The lyrics convey that everyone is a 'serious fool' (認真的憨人), and no matter what difficulties they encounter, as long as they persist, they will wait for the dawn, echoing the party's journey so far. Ko Wen-je laughed, saying he had a recent cold and switched to the 'bass group,' leaving the high notes to others, but the bass was no problem.

The TPP has fielded Lu Cheng-yu (Zhongshan District), Li Wen-yao (Anle District), Huang Shen-dong (Xinyi District), and Lin Ting-han (Zhongzheng District) as candidates for the Keelung City Council. The TPP expressed its hope to achieve a 'grand slam' in the election, sending excellent and professional candidates into the city council to bring hope and change to Keelung.
