The first exhibition will feature original works by Rembrandt, and the second will feature Van Gogh's 'Wheat Fields with Reaper, Auvers.'

The Toledo Museum of Art aims to tell the 'global art history' through its collection. Fubon Art Museum, in collaboration with Mediasphere Communications, will present 'Masters of Light and Shadow: From Rembrandt to Goya – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition I' and 'A Century of Modern Art: From Monet to Matisse – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition II.' The exhibitions will showcase the 400-year evolution of Western art history through the works. Advance tickets for the joint exhibition went on sale recently and were so popular that the system crashed.

'Masters of Light and Shadow: From Rembrandt to Goya – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition I' will debut in July, gathering over 50 masterpieces spanning the 16th to 19th centuries, presenting the rich diversity of European painting across different eras, regions, and artistic traditions.

According to a press release from Fubon Art Museum, the exhibition will feature works by important art historical figures such as Rembrandt, Goya, and Turner. These include Rembrandt's 'Man in a Fur-Lined Coat' and Goya's 'Children with a Cart.'

'A Century of Modern Art: From Monet to Matisse – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition II' will showcase the important stages of development from Impressionism to modern art. It will bring together works by masters such as Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Matisse, demonstrating how artists broke through traditional painting frameworks and initiated a crucial revolution in 20th-century art history.

Works including Matisse's 'Dancer Resting' and Van Gogh's 'Wheat Fields with Reaper, Auvers' will be on display. 'Wheat Fields with Reaper, Auvers' is one of the Toledo Museum of Art's famous collections, a work Van Gogh created late in his life.

'Masters of Light and Shadow: From Rembrandt to Goya – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition I' will run from July 18 to October 19, while 'A Century of Modern Art: From Monet to Matisse – Toledo Museum of Art Collection Exhibition II' will run from December 12 to April 13, 2027.
