(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hongguo, New Taipei 7th) A police chase occurred around 9 a.m. today in Tucheng District, New Taipei City. Police investigating a drug case attempted to stop and search a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old man surnamed Wu, who rammed his car into officers, causing minor abrasions to two of them. Officers fired 16 warning shots at the tires, but Wu escaped. He was eventually stopped and arrested at the intersection of Jincheng Road and Heping Road after a police pursuit. Authorities seized 9 etomidate-laced vape cartridges, 2 e-cigarettes, and trace amounts of ketamine at the scene. Wu was transferred to the prosecutor's office on charges of drug offenses, public endangerment, and aggravated obstruction of official duties.
