(CNA, Reporter Lu Kang-chun, Hsinchu City, 6th) The Hsinchu City Government announced it will partner with four semi-public daycare centers to launch weekend fixed-point temporary daycare services to enhance its childcare support network. The service is expected to officially launch on July 1, providing more diverse and flexible care options for families with infants and young children.
The Hsinchu City Government stated in a press release today that due to the high proportion of dual-income families in the city, the government has been promoting the "0-6 Years Old City Government Support" policy since 2023 and has achieved the goal of one fixed-point temporary care location per district. This time, it leverages the capacity of private daycare centers, providing subsidies for incentives and venue fees to invite operators to join the weekend temporary care program.
The Social Affairs Department of the Hsinchu City Government pointed out that the operators joining the weekend temporary care this time include Aurora and Little Chestnut in the East District, and Happy Baby and Little Star in the North District. All four daycare centers will provide safe childcare by qualified personnel, offering more diverse and flexible care options for families with young children and reducing the burden on parents.
The Social Affairs Department stated that the service is for children aged 6 months to under 3 years. The guardian or the child must have their household registration in or actually reside in Hsinchu City. Each session must be at least 2 hours, at a rate of NT$250 per child per hour. The public can apply online through a platform or the Hsinchu Tong APP, and the city will continue to expand its childcare service capacity in the future. (Editor: Li Shu-hua) 1150606
