(Central News Agency, reporter Hong Sujin, Taipei, 6th) Deng Yunxi, a 2026 Taipei Film Festival 'Rising Star,' stars in the short film 'The Place I Want to Go Most,' which explores the emotional and aspirational struggles of the younger generation. Off-screen, Deng shared her hope for a place to rest and recharge her spirit while pursuing her dreams.

Deng Yunxi and Hong Kong actor Sun Juntao portray a couple in the public television student film exhibition 'The Place I Want to Go Most.' Director and screenwriter Ke Mengcheng shared via a press release that Sun Juntao's character is a projection of his 25-year-old self, who was once confused about life, while his partner, three years his senior, had clear ideas about the future. It wasn't until he sat down to write the script at age 28 that he 'could finally look back and understand the things he didn't understand at 25.' He stated that the short film explores the futility and growth in young people's love lives, as well as the conflicts and struggles over their dreams.

In the film, Deng Yunxi plays a character who realizes she was never in her boyfriend's future life plan. She shared about her role, saying, 'The character is cautious and plans everything, which is quite similar to me.' As for her own 'most wanted place to go,' she expressed a desire to reach a state of complete peace and tranquility in her heart, unknown to anyone, allowing her to occasionally escape the noisy world, take a breather, recharge, and then face everything again.
