(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 5) The Taipei District Prosecutors Office today directed police to search the Songzi Niao Reproductive Center Clinic in two locations and summoned the chief executive, surnamed Lai, and an IT manager, surnamed Chang, for questioning. In the evening, prosecutors ordered Lai to post bail of NT$300,000 and Chang NT$50,000.

Following a series of suspected secret filming incidents at medical aesthetics clinics in early May, local health bureaus launched joint inspections. On May 12, the Taipei City Police Department, together with the Taipei City Health Bureau and Fire Department, conducted a special joint inspection for secret filming. They discovered holes in the Taipei branch of the Songzi Niao Reproductive Center Clinic, suggesting that camera equipment had been removed, and reported the matter to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.

On June 1, the Prosecutors Office directed the Zhongshan Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department to search the clinic with a court-issued warrant and summoned the clinic's responsible person, surnamed Hsieh, and the on-site manager, surnamed Lin, for questioning.

After questioning, prosecutors ordered Hsieh and Lin to each post bail of NT$200,000 on charges of violating sexual privacy, breaching secrets, and violating the Personal Data Protection Act.

Today, the Prosecutors Office launched a second wave of investigations, directing the Zhongshan Precinct to execute court-issued search warrants at the homes of Lai and Chang in Taipei and Hsinchu. The two were summoned for questioning. After a second round of questioning by the prosecutor, Lai was ordered to post bail of NT$300,000 and Chang NT$50,000 in the evening.
