President Lai invites NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to visit power plants; Taipower says it will extend an invitation if opportunity arises

Taipower stated that if the opportunity arises in the future to exchange views on power supply issues, it will invite Huang to visit a power plant.

President Lai recently said in a TV interview that he welcomes NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to visit Taiwan next time, have a meal with Taipower Chairman Tseng Wen-sheng, and visit Taiwan's power plants, which would give him more confidence in Taiwan's power supply.

Before leaving Taiwan today, Huang said it would be a great honor. For Taiwan to maintain its prosperity, sustain economic growth, and seize the huge opportunity of the AI revolution, it must have energy, because energy is essential for industrial and business growth.

Taipower stated that it has maintained contact with NVIDIA to discuss electricity demand and power supply plans, and last week it again contacted NVIDIA hoping for further exchanges. When Huang visits Taiwan in the future, there will be an opportunity to exchange views on power supply issues and invite him to visit a power plant to explain Taipower's long-term efforts in promoting diverse power construction, including power sources and the power grid.
