(CNA, Los Angeles, 5th, Combined Foreign Reports) James Handy, an American actor who appeared in the 'Top Gun' sequel 'Top Gun: Maverick', was stabbed to death near Los Angeles recently, and his girlfriend's son has been arrested.
According to a report by Sky News, U.S. police received a call on the morning of the 3rd from a caller who said, 'I am the son of man, and I have just killed a guilty person.'
When officers arrived at a residence in Tarzana, northwest of Los Angeles, they found a man with a stab wound to his chest and unconscious in the front yard. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was later identified as 81-year-old James Handy.
According to police, the suspect, 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, the son of Handy's girlfriend who lived with his mother at the residence, told officers he was the person they were looking for.
Gledhill was arrested and charged with one count of murder. Police stated that the incident appears to be an isolated case and does not pose a danger to the public.
