Kun Shan University issued a press release today stating that its Department of Food and Beverage Management and Culinary Arts team participated in the 2026 Malaysia World Chefs Championship from May 21 to 23, winning 2 Grand Gold, 10 Gold, 10 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals, for a total of 24 medals.

Kun Shan University stated that the 2026 Malaysia World Chefs Championship covered multiple high-difficulty categories including Chinese cuisine, artistic bread, modern baking, and coffee latte art. Among the winners, first-year student Lin Chengyi won a Grand Gold medal in Chinese cuisine for his "Chinese-style beef main course," and second-year student Lin Jhengzhe won a Grand Gold medal in the coffee latte art competition.
