Pingtung Travel Shopping GO Festival: First Drawing Winner from New Taipei City Takes Home a Car

The first drawing was held today, and a Ms. Zheng from New Taipei City won a luxury car. County Magistrate Zhou Chunmi said the event will continue until October 31, and anyone staying at a partner accommodation in the 33 townships can participate in the drawing.

Today's drawing was conducted live with a lawyer present. Ms. Zheng from New Taipei City won the grand prize. Ms. Zheng stayed at the Howard Hotel in May with over 20 friends and family, booking 8 rooms for a 3-day, 2-night stay costing approximately NT$166,000. She said, 'I was shaking with excitement when I got the call. I knew there was a live broadcast today, and because I had many serial numbers, I was mentally prepared to win something, but I didn't expect it to be the top prize.'

Magistrate Zhou Chunmi stated at the meeting that the 'Pingtung Travel & Shopping GO Festival' is in its second year. It is an integrated marketing strategy combining tourism, accommodation, and consumption. Since its launch on May 1, it has attracted a large number of tourists, with cumulative registered spending exceeding NT$10 million in one month. The event will continue until October 31, and anyone staying at a partner accommodation in the 33 townships can participate in the drawing.

The County Government's Department of Transportation and Tourism said the event connects tourism resources and the industrial chain within Pingtung County. Currently, there are over 450 partner accommodations and discount partners, including hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, tourist attractions, and souvenir shops. They offer a variety of discount plans to create a complete tourism consumption environment, allowing people to extend their experience from accommodation to various tourism activities.
