(Central News Agency, Reporter Zhong Rongfeng, Taipei, June 5) Poda General Manager Li Maoyang predicted today that the passive component shortage will continue in the second half of the year. He stated that the passive component market outlook for this year is promising, and products may see another wave of price increases. Poda's performance this year is expected to continue growing, benefiting from the pull-in of high-end active and passive components for AI servers and data centers.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Poda explained that as the global economy stabilizes and emerging applications continue to expand, the company will continue to strengthen its operational resilience and seize market growth opportunities.

Poda held an online investor conference this afternoon. Li Maoyang pointed out that Poda continues to benefit from the pull-in of high-end products for AI applications, and is continuously sourcing components from Panasonic in Japan to meet demand. End customers are expanding their布局 beyond mainland China, for example into the Southeast Asian market. Poda's deliveries are also shifting to Vietnam and other locations following end customer demand, with no overall impact on deliveries.

Li Maoyang noted that Poda also continues to benefit from the pull-in of 800G switches for AI applications in the networking and communications equipment sector.

Observing the price trend of passive components such as Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs), Li Maoyang assessed that passive components are still at a high price point and does not rule out another wave of price increases.

Poda explained that this year, driven by applications such as AI, automotive electronics, and new energy, demand in the electronics industry is maintaining steady growth, with high-end applications boosting market momentum. The passive component market is gradually strengthening, driven by demand for high-end product lines.

In response to market changes, Poda stated that the industry still focuses on inventory management, improving supply flexibility, and stabilizing cash flow to reduce the impact of external uncertainties.

Poda indicated that it will continue to monitor developments in the semiconductor and end markets, and flexibly adjust its procurement and shipping strategies.

According to data, Poda's main agency products include Panasonic's conductive polymer capacitors, Panasonic electronic components, Shizuki capacitors, and it is also involved in CO2 heat pumps and cell culture machines. Currently, AI servers and overall server business account for approximately 14% of its revenue. (Editor: Yang Kaixiang) 1150605
