Taiwan Stocks Close Down 606 Points, Recover 45,000 Level; Memory Chip Stocks Weak

In early trading, it plunged as much as 1,467 points, breaking below the support level of the 10-day moving average at approximately 44,790 points. During the session, heavyweight electronics stocks recovered, leading the market to rebound by more than 1,200 points. Although large-cap stocks like TSMC weakened again after noon, the market managed to recover the 45,000-point mark by the close. The TAIEX closed at 45,070.94 points today, down 606.52 points, or 1.33%. Turnover was approximately NT$1.2294 trillion.
