Taiwanese-American Hoops Prospect Ye Aijie Shows Promise, Eager to Play for Taiwan

However, he emphasized that his ultimate goal is to represent Taiwan on the international stage one day.

The NIKE ALL Taiwan Camp, held at Liming Institute of Technology, held its closing ceremony today. Taiwan men's national team head coach Gianluca Tucci and women's national team head coach Kenzo Maeda served as head coaches for the men's and women's groups respectively, providing opportunities for Taiwan's emerging talents to connect with high-level basketball and encouraging young players to challenge themselves and continuously improve.

Among them, the 16-year-old, 195 cm tall Taiwanese-American player Ye Aijie (AJ Greig) participated in the NIKE ALL Taiwan Camp for the first time. In a media interview, he shared that he learned a lot from the camp and hopes to challenge NCAA Division 1 schools after graduating from high school, saying, "I have two more years to work hard."

Ye Aijie was recently selected for the training roster of the Taiwan men's U18 Asia Cup qualifiers but unfortunately did not make the final 12-man roster. His mother mentioned that her son has a strong willingness to play for Team Taiwan, even considering it his life's biggest goal. Therefore, he will continue to improve his skills and practice his Chinese language ability, hoping it will help him integrate into the team in the future.

Additionally, forward Zhang Chengye from HBL's Changhua County Cheng Kung High School was named the camp's Most Valuable Player (MVP) and was selected for the 2026 All Asia Camp roster. He stated that he learned new concepts and attention to detail at the camp, and that competing against good players raised the level of intensity, forcing him to grow.
