(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 5) The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) today announced the constituent changes for the FTSE Russell Taiwan 50 Index, adding BizLink Holding (貿聯-KY), Global Unichip (創意), Nan Ya PCB (南電), and Zhen Ding Technology (臻鼎-KY). Four traditional industrial heavyweight stocks—PharmaEssentia (康霈), China Steel (中鋼), Formosa Plastics (台塑), and Hotai Motor (和泰車)—were removed from the top 50 constituents. The artificial intelligence (AI) trend has significantly boosted the market capitalization of related tech stocks, making them the biggest winners.

The TWSE also announced the replacement candidate list for the Taiwan 50 Index, which includes Compeq Manufacturing (華通), Innolux (群創), Kinsus Interconnect (景碩), WinWay Technology (穎崴), and WT Microelectronics (文曄).

FTSE Russell today announced the results of its reviews for the Taiwan 50 Index, Taiwan Mid-Cap 100 Index, Taiwan Technology Index, Taiwan Developed Index, and Taiwan High Dividend Index. The constituent changes will take effect after the market close on June 18. If any index constituent is deleted before the next scheduled review, it will be replaced by a stock from the current candidate list, which is effective immediately.

In addition to the Taiwan 50 Index, the Taiwan Mid-Cap 100 Index added the following stocks: Topco Technologies (志聖), PharmaEssentia (康霈), China Steel (中鋼), Eternal Materials (長興), Formosa Plastics (台塑), Formosa Sumco Technology (台勝科), Holy Stone Enterprise (禾伸堂), Hotai Motor (和泰車), Iteq (聯茂), Kinik Company (中砂), Marketech International (帆宣), Nuvoton Technology (新唐), Sigurd Microelectronics (矽格), TAILEX (大量), Test Research (德律), Visual Photonics Epitaxy (全新), Walsin Technology (華新科), and Yang Ming Engineering (洋基工程).

The Taiwan Mid-Cap 100 Index deleted the following stocks: BizLink Holding (貿聯-KY), Bora Pharmaceuticals (保瑞), Far Eastern International Bank (遠東銀), Foxtron Vehicle Technologies (鴻華先進-創), Global Brands Group (精成科), Global Unichip (創意), Holy Stone Healthcare (禾榮科), Lai Yih Footwear (來億-KY), Lotus Pharmaceutical (美時), Makalot Industrial (聚陽), momo.com (富邦媒), Nan Ya PCB (南電), Radiant Opto-Electronics (瑞儀), Ruentex Industries (潤泰全), Sakura Development (櫻花建), Tong Yang Industry (東陽), Tung Ho Steel (東和鋼鐵), and Zhen Ding Technology (臻鼎-KY).

The replacement candidate list for the Taiwan Mid-Cap 100 Index includes Capital Securities (群益證), L&K Precision (聯鈞), Greatek Electronics (超豐), I-Chiun Precision (一詮), Zhao Lian Industrial (兆聯實業), Nichidenbo (日電貿), President Securities (統一證), Scientech (辛耘), Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (台表科), and Topoint Technology (尖點).

The Taiwan Technology Index added Topco Technologies (志聖), Formosa Sumco Technology (台勝科), Holy Stone Enterprise (禾伸堂), Iteq (聯茂), Marketech International (帆宣), Nuvoton Technology (新唐), Sigurd Microelectronics (矽格), Test Research (德律), Visual Photonics Epitaxy (全新), and Walsin Technology (華新科). It deleted Global Brands Group (精成科) and Radiant Opto-Electronics (瑞儀).

The Taiwan Developed Index added Eternal Materials (長興), Kinik Company (中砂), TAILEX (大量), and Yang Ming Engineering (洋基工程). It deleted Bora Pharmaceuticals (保瑞), Foxtron Vehicle Technologies (鴻華先進-創), Holy Stone Healthcare (禾榮科), Lai Yih Footwear (來億-KY), Lotus Pharmaceutical (美時), Makalot Industrial (聚陽), momo.com (富邦媒), Ruentex Industries (潤泰全), Tong Yang Industry (東陽), and Tung Ho Steel (東和鋼鐵).

The Taiwan High Dividend Index added Chung Hsin Electric & Machinery (中興電), Far EasTone (遠傳), Nan Ya Plastics (南亞), Nanya Technology (南亞科), and Winbond Electronics (華邦電).
