Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Mountainous Areas in Northern and Central Taiwan Due to Low Pressure

(Taipei, June 5, CNA) The Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a heavy rain warning. Due to the influence of a low-pressure system, short-duration heavy rainfall is likely. From this evening to tomorrow morning, localized heavy or extremely heavy rain is expected in Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and the mountainous areas of New Taipei City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City. Localized heavy rain is also possible in areas north of Hsinchu, as well as in Nantou, Tainan, Yilan, Taitung, and other mountainous regions.
